Although the majority of our students have gone though a highly selective national entry examination, our admission process for foreign students is different. There are no special entry exams (except you have to prove your language proficiency), but students have to prove they are qualified. We look for eager, highly engaged students who will bring a high degree of intellectual energy and creativity to SJTU, and who have taken a reasonably challenging course load, selecting from among the most demanding courses available to them.
